ALETHEA LOU ELLIOTT WINSAUER Born June 14, 1933 A native of Longview, TX Alethea moved to Temple, TX with her family at the age of 9. Upon graduating from Temple High School, she attended the University of Texas in Austin from 1951 - 1955 where she majored in Business Administration. While at Texas she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. In 1955 she began a career as a school teacher in Houston, TX. She then joined Humble Oil and Refining in Houston , TX where she met her husband of 54 years, Weldon O. Winsauer. Alethea was an avid volunteer at local area Houston hospitals. As a devoted mother, she spent countless hours supporting her boys activities while they were growing up in Houston. After her husband's retirement, she moved to Beeville, TX and she helped run the family registered Hereford breeding operation that was started in 1956. She was active in the Rosetta Club, Beeville, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband and a brother James Elliott She is survived by her sons Will Winsauer and John Winsauer, grandchildren, Emily Elizabeth Winsauer and John Weldon Winsauer, brother Don M. Elliott of Cincinnati, OH and sister-in-law Doris McDonald of Mathis, TX. Visitation with the family present will be April 24, 2013 between 5 and 7 P.M. at Dobie Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 10 A.M. April 25, 2013 at Cenizo Hill Cemetery with Reverend Patti Herndon officiating. The Family is grateful to Mona Padilla for her loving care.
