Mira Salinas Flores

Adelmira, “Mira” Salinas Flores, 52. Mira Salinas Flores, 52, of Corpus Christi, Tx. Passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Raymond Flores of Corpus Christi, Tx. Mira was born April 19, 1961, in Mathis Texas, the daughter of Esperanza Salinas and the late Manuel Salinas II. Mira graduated from Mathis High School in Mathis, Tx. on May 1, 1980. Grandparents include, Maria Salinas and the late Manuel Salinas I and the late Jesus and Delfina Espinoza. She received a Master’s degree from Texas A&I Kingsville and touched the lives of many students. Mira loved to read, and was an inspiration to her family and friends. She always had a beautiful smile that would light up a room. Along with her loving husband, Raymond Flores, Mira leaves her cherished sons, Matt and Christian Flores and her beloved daughter Sarah Flores all of Corpus Christi, Tx. Her mother Esperanza Salinas of Mathis; Mira also leaves behind four siblings, Manuel Salinas, Jerry & Lisa Salinas, Sonia Salinas and Martina & Curt Villarreal as well as numerous loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Services will be held as followed: Visitation-Thursday, May 9, 2013 at Dobie Funeral Home in Mathis, Tx. from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. A second visitation will follow at St. Peters Catholic Church in Corpus Christi, Tx. at 5:30 p.m. A rosary will follow at 7 p.m. at St. Peters Catholic Church in Corpus Christi, Tx. Funeral Services-Friday, May 10, 2013 from 10:00-11:00 p.m. with visitation at 9:00 a.m. also at St. Peters Catholic Church Burial Services at 1:00 p.m. at Cenizo Hill Cemetery in Mathis, Tx. Pallbearers include: Luis Hernandez, Felix and Marcos Salinas, Andres Sanchez, Edmund Flores and Michael Cantu. A Luncheon will follow at Sacred Heart Hall in Mathis, Tx. following the burial. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established to the Mira S. Flores Mathis High School Educational Scholarship Fund at First Prosperity Bank in Mathis, Tx. as well as the Mira S. Flores Tuloso-Midway Educational Scholarship fund at Star Credit Union, 10429 Leopard St. Corpus Christi, Tx. 78410.
