Marcos A. Pena

Marcos Pena, age 74, passed away September 4, 2013 at his home in Brady, Texas. He was born April 25, 1939 in San Patricio, Texas to Jose Maria and Leandra Aguero Pena. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing dominoes, BBQ's and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Teresa Pena and brother Elias Pena, Sr. and son in law Israel Lopez. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Manuela Pena, five daughters Leandra (Jon) Lopez Wetz of Altus, Oklahoma, Isabel (Jack) Roberts of Coleman, Texas, Terry (Daryle) Schwerdt of Salina, Kansas, Irma (Jose) Escalante and Irene Pena both of Waco, Texas, four sons Joe Pena of Brownwood, Texas, Elias (Carla) Pena and Martin Pena both of Brady, Texas and Ray Pena of Boise, Idaho, one sister Isabel Carranza of Mathis, Texas, six step-sisters Maggie Flores, Dorothy Guzman, Lupie Mitchell of Mineral Wells, Texas, Janie Hager of Euless, Texas, Rosa Martinez of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Fedeneia Soto of Joshua, Texas, three step-brothers, Ignacio and Emilio Pena of Odessa, Texas and Jose Maria Pena, Jr. of Euless, Texas; 23 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Visitation will begin on Friday September 6, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Dobie Funeral Home Chapel with a rosary that same evening at 7:00 p.m. Funeral mass will be Saturday September 7, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Mathis. Interment will follow in St. Patricks Cemetery in San Patricio, Texas.
