Dominic Daniel Alvarez

Dominic Daniel Alvarez, age 28, passed away September 9, 2013. Dominic was born April 27, 1985 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He enjoyed fiesta omelettes, hunting, fishing and was an avid outdoorsman and craftsman. He was an amazing husband and father. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Florencia Alvarez, who along with his grandfather Daniel Sr. was very instrumental in his up bringing. Dominic is survived by the love of his life Marlissa "Marcy" Alvarez; his children who he adored, daughters, Leighton Alvarez and Kendall Alvarez and son Oren Alvarez all of Mathis; parents Tony and Rachel Lopez of Mathis; two sisters, Lisa Lopez, Jennifer Lerma and brother Cristan Lopez all of Mathis; maternal grandfather, Daniel Alvarez, Sr. of Mathis and paternal grandmother Maria Lopez of Mathis. A rosary was recited Wednesday September 11, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at Dobie Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be celebrated on Thursday September 12, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Mathis. Interment will follow in Cenizo Hill Cemetery in Mathis.
