Esperanza Hope Hernandez

Esperanza (Hope) Hernandez, passed away March 18, 2014, surrounded by family. She was the Matriarch of the Hernandez - Zamudio families. She was born on May 19, 1927 in Austin, Texas.   She was preceded in death by her parents Julian and Juanita Zamudio, husband Robert Hernandez, sisters, Bernabe Trevino, Consuelo Carrisalez, Maria Reza, Victoria Longoria and Amparo Juarez. She is survived by three daughters, Janie (Raul) Armas, Emery (Raul) Rosas, Dolly (Lionel) Mendez, sisters, Leonor (Ernesto) Brosig, Sara Rodriguez, Carolina Ruiz, Josie Martinez, Marta Lopez, Julia (Fred) Lopez, Esmeralda Cortez and Polly Juarez, brother Julian (Pauline) Zamudio, 8 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.   Hope was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, niece and friend who will always be in our hearts and will never be forgotten.   A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Friday March 21 at Dobie Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 2 P.M. on Saturday March 22 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Cenizo Hill Cemetery.
