Clifford Cliff Barnett

Clifford Barnett from Sandia TX. went to his heavenly home at 75 on August 3rd 2014. Cliff was born March 7th 1939 in Walters, OK. to John Clifford and Stella Barnett. He graduated in 1957 from Andrews HS. Cliff married Peggy Summitt on Oct 3rd 1961. He served in the Navy, then Humble Oil Company and after 32 years retired from Exxon. His retirement job was outsmarting crappie from his fishing cove. He was an ordained Deacon, choir member and President of West Camp Gideons International.Cliff is survived by his loving wife of 52 years - Peggy Barnett, daughters ReDonna Mendez (Tony),Darinda Gunnells (Mark) and grandchildren: Devin & Colton Dear, Holly & Sean Mendez and Sydney & Caleb Gunnells.Visitation at Dobie Funeral Home 4-9 Wednesday August 6th with family present 4-7.The celebration of his life to be at Westshore Baptist Church on Thursday August 7th at 10am with a burial to follow at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery at 1:00 pm.
