Alejandro 'Alex' Padilla

Alejandro "Alex" Padilla, age 75, died October 4, 2014. He was born Dec. 7, l938 in Mathis to Encarnacion and Antia Padilla, Sr. He served in the U. S. Army. He was preceded in death by wife Lupe Padilla and brother Alberto Padilla. He is suvived by daughter Bridget (Kris) Thomason of San Antonio, Texas, three step sons Victor Munoz of Austin, Hector Munoz of Alice and Eddie Munoz of San Antonio, sisters Elena Palacios of Corpus Christi, Rafela Ybarra of Mathis, Alicia Farias of Winters, Tx, Elisella Farias of Mathis, Baudelia Padilla of Corpus Christi, Rosa Padilla of Abilene and Esmeralda Moreno of Mathis, brothers, Charles Padilla of Mathis, Reynaldo Padilla of Pennsylvania, Jose Luis Padilla of Mathis, Encarnacion Padilla, Jr. of Ft. Worth, Frank Padilla of Mathis and Ismael Padilla of Corpus Christi, half brother and sisters Victor Padilla of Corpus Christi, Leonor Montez of Idaho and Amalia Galvan of Victoria, Texas, 12 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. A rosary was recited Tuesday Oct. 7, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at Dobie Funeral Home Chapel. Mass was celebrated Wednesday Oct. 8, at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial followed in Cenizo Hill Cemetery.
