Wade L. Fuhrken

Wade L. Fuhrken, age 60, passed away Feb. 18, 2015. He was born Aug. 14, 1954 in Alice, Texas to Elton W. and Derajean Kiker Fuhrken. Wade graduated from Orange Grove High School in 1972 and graduated from Texas Tech with a degree in agricultural science. He was an Ag teacher in Lyford and Rocksprings, Texas. He spent 10 months in Saudi Arabia building a dairy for Alazzie Dairy Company. Wade later became Pastor of Faith Church in Orange Grove and Peace Church in Tynan, Texas. He was preceded in death by his father Elton W. Fuhrken. He is survived by his mother, Derajean Fuhrken of Orange Grove, three sisters, Katherine (Gary) Vickers of Orange Grove, Nancy Fuhrken of Hallettsville, Texas and Patricia (Pinky) Timon of Mathis, one nephew, Matthew (Krystal) Vickers, three grand nieces, Faith, Hope and Grace, three aunts, one uncle and numerous cousins and friends and a special friend Derry Summer. Visitation will begin on Friday Feb. 20 at 5 p.m. with the family present 5-7 p.m. at Dobie Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be Saturday Feb. 21 at 4:00 p.m. at Faith Church in Orange Grove. Interment will follow in Sons of Hermann Cemetery in Orange Grove.
