Carolina H. Puentes

Carolina H. Puentes, age 87, died Dec. 8, 2015. She was born June 28, 1928 in Lagarto, Texas to Luciano and Petra Hernandez. She was preceded in death by her parents, sons Francisco & Ramiro Puentes, siblings Moses, Gonzalo, Jose and Tomas Hernandez, Luciana Perez and Trinidad Gonzales. She is survived by her husband of 63 years Tomas Puentes, Sr. of Beeville, Texas, six daughters Delia (Encarnacion Padilla, Jr. of Ft. Worth, Belia Hernandez of Skidmore, Ofelia Puentes of Mathis, Josie (Mario Rodriguez) Puentes of Corpus Christi, Tomasa (Art) Arredondo of Skidmore and Teresa Longoria of Mathis, four sons Rey (Connie) Puentes of Skidmore, Johnny (Ruby) Puentes of Beeville, Tomas (Sylvia) Puentes, Jr. of Mathis and Remigio (Linda) Puentes of Beeville, one brother Jesus Hernandez of Lubbock, Texas, 42 grandchildren, 57 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Dec. 10 at Dobie Funeral Home. Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Dec. 11 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial followed in the Old Lagarto Cemetery. Pallbearers were Matt Hernandez, Ernest Guerra, Marcos Gutierrez, Jaime Puentes, Robert Puentes and Frank Puentes. Honorary pallbearers were Jeremiah Puentes and A. J. Arredondo.
