Charles Wayne Bickham

On April 26, 2016 our beloved Charlie went home to his Lord and Savior, his wife and children by his side. Born January 8, 1952 in Corpus Christi (Calallen), Texas to Oscar and Sis Bickham, Charlie fit a tremendous amount of life into his 64 years with us. All who knew him are truly blessed. Charlie is survived by his wife, Belinda Bickham, and mother, Verna Mae (Sis) Bickham; his two brothers, John Bickham and his wife Kathy, and Bruce Bickham and his wife Dara; and his three children, daughter Kristine Lee Arthur and husband Rick, son Charles Weston Bickham, and daughter Kassandra Lee Bickham-Martin and her husband John. He was preceded in death by his father Oscar, brother Kyle, and sister Becky. Charlie is also survived by his grandchildren Jakob Martin and Sydney, Emma and Luke Arthur. He leaves behind a number of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews who adored him. Countless friends join us in mourning the loss of this incredible soul who is gone too soon. A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 7th at 2:00 p.m. at Dobie Funeral Home at 121 N. Duval in Mathis, Texas. A celebration of life will continue directly after at Vicks Place at 7136 FM 666 for any who would like to join. There will be no graveside service. Belinda and Charlie’s children, Kristi, Wes and Kassie would like to acknowledge and thank the amazing staff at the Brooks Army Medical Center – Burn and Trauma Centers, for their tender care in Charlie’s final days. We encourage you to make a donation to the center or to any local children’s hospital in lieu of sending flowers.
