Catherine Joan Bluntzer

Catherine Joan Bluntzer, member of a Pioneer South Texas Family, passed away November 3, 2017. She was born October 29, 1924 in Bluntzer, Texas to William D. and Katherine Mahoney Bluntzer. Miss Bluntzer retired from General Telephone as a repair supervisor and was also a lifelong rancher and farmer. She was a 25 year member of the Daughter of the Republic of Texas; Old Trail Driver's Association of Texas; The Catholic Daughters and RABS Home Demonstration Club. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and five brothers. Miss Bluntzer is survived by fourteen nieces and nephews. A rosary will be recited 7 p.m. November 7, 2017 at Dobie Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. November 8, 2017 at St. Patrick's Mission in Old San Patricio, Texas. Interment will follow in St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery.
