Alejandro Morales, Sr.

Alejandro Morales, Sr. (Hondo) passed away peacefully surrounded by his family and loved ones by his side on May 10, 2022. Alejandro was born February 09, 1935 in Laredo, Texas, son of the late Casimiro and Manuela Morales. He live most of his life in Gregory, Texas where he lived with his loving wife and raised 3 children. He was an amazing husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great grandfather. He will be greatly missed by all!

He was preceded in death by his parents Casimiro and Manuela Morales, his wife Maurila Morales; siblings Ofelia M. Lucio, Maria Morales, Refugia M. Adame, Cornelia M. Adame and great-great grandson Landyn Royse. He is survived by his sister Beatriz Morales Garcia; son Alejandro Morales (Nilda) Jr, daughter Mary Alice Rangel, daughter Diana (Joe) Morales; 12 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren.

His legacy will be his ability to keep the family together in life and in death as we honor his memory now and forever. May he rest in eternal peace.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 PM Monday, May 16, 2022 at Winsteads' Funeral Home in Portland, with the rosary to be recited at 7:00PM that same evening.  A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church will interment to follow at the Gregory Cemetery.
