Alfredo Alcoser went home to be with his beloved wife, parents, and siblings on April 6, 2021. He was born on August 18, 1943 to Benito and Amada Alcoser in Somerset Tex. He is preceded in death by his wife Hermelinda Alcoser, his parents, his brothers Albert and Eugenio Alcoser, and his sister Manuela Sambrano. He lived in Somerset until he moved to Gregory, Tx where he met his future wife, Hermelinda Delgado. They were married in January of 1965. They lived and raised their five children in the same home where they made many wonderful memories that their children and grandchildren will treasure forever.
He is survived by his children, Alfredo Alcoser (Maria), Irma Delgado, Ramiro Alcoser, Margie (Don whom he loved as his son), and Jennifer (Andrew) Barrientez. One sister Mary (June) Garcia, 18 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.
Family life consisted of fishing trips where he taught his children how to use a fishing rod and a cast net , camping every summer at Garner State Park, and overnight beach outings just to name a few. He taught his children to always be respectful and care for others. To his daughters, gave the example of how a wife and daughters should be treated. To his sons he taught them never to quit and work hard. He worked hard to make sure his family had what was needed. He gave all the love, support and encouragement to help them do their best.
He worked at JSJ Services Inc until 2015. There he also set the example on how to work hard and for that he was well respected by his employer and coworkers. He loved all Texas teams especially the Dallas Cowboys and the Houston Astros.
He had health issues starting in 2001 and beat cancer in 2015. Even with his health struggles, that did not keep him from providing, and caring for his wife at the end of her journey. He missed her dearly and was eager to be reunited with her.
Visitation will be from 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM with a Rosary at 7:00 PM on April 9, 2021 at Limbaugh Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00 AM on Saturday April 10, 2021 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Gregory, Texas. Burial to follow to the Gregory Cemetery.
