Anna Maria Rodriguez

Anna Maria “Connie” Rodriguez passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Oct 3, 2021. Anna is preceded in death by her parents Margarito and Alejandra Guerrero, her siblings Leonor Martinez, David Guerrero and Jesse Guerrero.

Anna is survived by her loving husband of 52 years Adan (Tadpole) Rodriguez Sr, her loving children Adan Rodriguez Jr (Angela), Maryann Anastasio (Matt) and Rene Rodriguez. Her six beautiful grandchildren Reed Anastasio, Eric Rodriguez, Benjamin Rodriguez, Conner Anastastio, Liliana Rodriguez and Nikolaus Rodriguez. She is also survived by her siblings Paula Martinez, Lydia Munoz, Lupe Flores, Sammy Guerrero, Peter Guerrero and Ernest Guerrero.

Anna grew up in Gregory, Tx and was the third oldest of 10 children. She attended Gregory Portland High School where she would meet the love of her life Adan (Tadpole) Rodriguez Sr. They were married on May 23, 1969 at the Immaculate Conception Parish. Her calling in life was to be a loving and devoted child of god, wife and mother. Her strong catholic faith created a home where the main focus was Jesus Christ. She led her entire life by the Lord’s example. This same example is what she strived to pass on to her children, grandchildren and anyone she met along the way. She was an active member of the Immaculate Conception Parish. Anna served as a catechist teacher, in the bereavement committee, and the Catholic Daughters. She loved serving the Lord and all those around her. She generously gave her time to anyone in need. Anna touched many people in her 72 years of life.

Her grandchildren were the light of her life and brought her the most happiness. She loved to cook-especially for her grandchildren. Her life revolved around them.

Mom, we love you always and will miss you greatly!

Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at Winsteads’ Funeral Home in Portland with the rosary to be recited at 7:00 that same evening. Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM, Thursday, October 7, 2021 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Gregory. Interment to follow at the Gregory Cemetery.
