Armando M. Vasquez

Armando Vasquez, age 54, passed away peacefully from this life on January 1, 2025 to be with our Lord in Heaven. He was surrounded and supported by his loving family during the last days of his life.

Armando was born on March 13, 1970 in Corpus Christi, TX.  Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Imelda Vasquez; daughter, Clarissa Vasquez of Orange Grove and daughter, Daniella Vasquez of Orange Grove. He also left behind his father, Gregorio Vasquez of Mathis; brother, Gregorio Jr (Frances) Vasquez of Corpus Christi; and his sister, Raquel (Joe Louis) Salazar of Beeville as well as 14 nephews and nieces and 29 great nephews and nieces. Armando is preceded in death by his mother, Emma Vasquez; maternal grandparents, Miguel Sr and Angelita Moreno and paternal grandparents Gonzalo and Fidencia Vasquez. His place of worship was the First Baptist Church in Mathis, Tx, where he had been a faithful servant for the past 27 years. The church members there became like a second family to him. 

Armando was such a character and had such a kind heart. He always had a story to tell you. The memories we have of him are fun, loving and full of laughter. He will forever be remembered as a hard-working, kind, compassionate, funny and loving man. He left behind several people who loved him dearly. He leaves us rich in memories.

Visitation for Mr. Vasquez will be at 4:00 pm and Prayer Service will be at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at the First Baptist Church in Mathis, Texas.  Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am on Thursday, January 9, 2025 at First Baptist Church followed by interment at Descanso Eterno II.
