Barbara A. Evans

Barbara Evans passed away on June 1, 2011 after a lengthy illness. Barbara was a very devoted wife to Harvey Evans for over 64 years. Barbara will be missed by her very close family and friends. She has been a member of The First Baptist Church of Portland, Texas for over 43 years. Barbara was a very avid bridge player and made many dear friends over the years at bridge parties. Barbara was always active with Harvey in The Retriever Club, attending field trials and was a constant companion on many hunting and fishing outings. Among her other talents, she loved to cook and entertain, as well as travel to foreign countries.
She is survived by her loving husband, Harvey Evans and many nieces and nephews who mourn her passing.
Visitation will be held at Limbaugh Funeral Home, Portland, Texas on Friday, June 3, 2011 from 6:00pm - 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 4, 2011 at The First Baptist Church, Portland, Texas. Interment will immediately follow the funeral service at Palms Memorial Gardens.
