Ms. Billie “Kay” Reed Guardalibene
Billie “Kay” was born to loving parents Bill & Betty Reed on July 14, 1948. She was named after her father. She had one sister Vickie and a beloved Aunt Frannie. As this group welcomed her to life, they surely welcomed her home with her Savior and Lord Jesus Christ Tuesday, August 15, 2023.
Kay had two daughters Bettye Dawn (Anthony) Huddleston of Moore, Oklahoma and Marianne Cooper (Emmanuel Vissepo’) of Portland, Texas; 10 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and 2 more on the way. Her grandchildren brought her the most joy in her retirement years as she loved to travel and they were often her little companions.
Kay went to beauty school to fix hair prior to her accident which made long standing impossible. She found her second career at Oklahoma City Public Schools and worked with their Transportation and Administration Department for 26 years where she had many dear friends and work “family”.
Kay loved her family, traveling, shopping, puppies, babies, and country music. Game shows, talk shows competed with Hallmark movies and Reba for her attention.
Kay was a long standing member of Antioch Christian Church in Oklahoma City for 30 years before moving to be closer to her younger daughter and family in Texas. Kay will be remembered as a mother, nanny, and forever friend as well as a devout believer in our Lord.
