Bonifacio Martinez Sr.

Bonifacio Martinez Sr. entered Eternal Rest on September 18, 2021. He was born on August 29, 1935 in Lagarto Texas to Antonio and Tomasa Martinez. After Bonifacio retired from the Texas Highway Department in Refugio County he enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a beloved brother, uncle, father and grandfather. He is preceded in death by his parents; four sons, Roberto Briseno, Alfredo Guerra Sr., Bonifacio Martinez Jr., Noel Martinez; daughter, Naomi Mendez; two brothers, Encarnacion Martinez, Manuel “Meme” Martinez; four sisters, Josefina Martinez, Leonor Olivo, Maria Urdialez and Seferina Hinojosa.

Left to cherish his loving memory are his wife, Elena B. Martinez, Daughters, Audelia (Manuel) Lara, Ramona Hernandez; Sons, Jesse (JoAnn) Gonzales, Antonio C. Martinez; two brothers, Macario Martinez, Amado Martinez; sister, Tomasita Morin. He is also survived by 24 Grandchildren and many Great Grandchildren.

Visitation will be at 10:00 AM and Funeral Service will be at 10:30 AM on September 27, 2021 at Dobie Funeral Home followed by interment at Lagarto Cemetery.

Due to COVID, the family requests that those who attend the service wear face masks.
