Charles Allen Murphy

Charles Allen Murphy, 73, of Portland, Texas passed away on Monday March 11, 2013. He was born in Long Beach, California. He was preceded in death by his mother, Beatrice, and his father William. He retired as an LVN, after working as a driller in the oil field. He also served his country as an airman in the U.S. Air Force. Known as "Chuck" to many of his friends, he is fondly remembered for his joking nature and his giving heart. A man of many talents, with a wide variety of life experiences, he touched the lives of everyone who knew him. His interests included hunting, motorcycles, racing cars, computers, and guns.
He is survived by his wife of forty years, Becky, and their two daughters; Tracy (husband Russell), and Tiffany (husband Thomas). His two daughters from a previous marriage are Cindy (husband Raymond), and Dianne (husband Timothy). Seven grandchildren: Rebekah (husband Andrew), William, Hailee, Gavin, Charleigh, Logan and Everett.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, April 6, 2013 at the Limbaugh Funeral Home in Portland, Texas
