Clara Mancias

Clara Mancias, a devoted mother, grandmother, and sister known for her caring and loving nature, passed away on May 23,2024, in Corpus Christi, Texas at the age of 80. She was born on August 12, 1943, in Granger, Texas to Nicolasa Herrera.

Throughout her life, Clara exemplified unwavering love and dedication to her family. Her presence and nurturing spirit always made those around her feel cherished valued. Clara adored spending time with her loved ones, creating countless memories that will be treasured forever.

Clara is survived by her son, Mateo Mancias (Mary Helen), daughter, Diana (Thomas) Baker, daughter, Nelda M. Trejo, daughter, Janie Mancias, eight grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Nicolasa Rodriguez, Mary Ruiz, Juana Huetten-Mueller, Mary Rodriguez; brothers, Roy Herrera and Luis Herrera; numerous nieces and nephews, as well as all those who were fortunate enough to have known her.

She is preceded in death by her Mother, Nicolasa Herrera  and her husband, Ramon Mancias; sisters, Alicia Cruz, Patricia Ornelas, Dominga Herrera,; brothers, Raymond Herrera, Roman Herrera, Jesse Herrera.

Pallbearers will be Alejandro M. Trejo, Diego M. Trejo, Cristino M. Trejo III, Eduardo M. Perez Jr., Thomas G. Baker III, Noah Christian Guerra, Zachariah Mateo Perez.

The visitation for Clara Mancias will take place on May 27th from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Holy Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm at Winsteads' Funeral Home in Mathis. A Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on May 28th at 10:00 AM followed by interment at San Patricio Cemetery at 11:00 AM.

Clara will be dearly missed but never forgotten. Her kindness and love will continue to inspire all those who were blessed to have been a part of her life. May she rest in peace knowing she was deeply loved and that her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
