Cynthia Meischen

ORANGE GROVE Cynthia Meischen, age 71, went to be with the Lord on July 8, 2023.  Cynthia was born March 24, 1952, in Orange Grove, Texas to Dorace and Gordon Klatt.  She graduated from Orange Grove High School and Texas A&I University in Kingsville.  She excelled as a teacher at Orange Grove Elementary for ten years in a profession she loved dearly.  Cynthia lived by her Christian faith and for her family. 
 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dorace and Gordon Klatt.  She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Larell Meischen; two daughters, Alyssa (Stephen) Thomas and Mandee (Derek) Powell; five grandchildren, Claire Thomas, Catherine Thomas, Edmund Thomas, Beck Powell, and Ben Powell; one brother, Gordon Klatt Jr. (Jeanie), one sister, Amy (Kevin) Stone and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Orange Grove, Texas on Thursday, July 13, 2023.  Graveside services will follow at Sons of Herman Cemetery in Orange Grove, Texas.  In lieu of flowers, please make donations to First Evangelical Lutheran Church, P.O.
