Danny Dwayne Kuchler

Danny Dwayne Kuchler, 70 of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away at home on September 26, 2023 after a long battle with cancer.  Danny was born on January 14, 1953 in Cuero, Texas to Paul and Lanell Kuchler, Jr.
He was received into the Baptist Church in Lolita on February 17, 1963. Danny graduated from Industrial High School in 1971.  After graduation he served 4 years in the Army.   He married his High School sweetheart, Deborah Marie Hencerling on August 18, 1974 and they had 3 children.  Later, Danny went on to marry Sandy Kay Jones on July 12, 2007.
Danny owned and operated Cobra Well Service.  He later, with the help of his brother Michael, started consulting and worked 40 plus years in the oilfield.
Danny was a simple, fun loving guy with an incredible sense of humor.  He was always the life of the party and loved making people laugh.  When he would see you, he would always say “como esta”!! 
If you knew Danny, you can probably hear him saying it right now.  Danny always wore his signature starched white shirt with his initials on the left sleeve, like his high school mentor, the late Mr. Everett McDowell. 
Danny is survived by Sandy Kuchler, who stayed by his side to the very end.
Danny is also survived by his children Brandy Bowers (Kevin), Danneall Taylor (Scott), Danny “Duke” Kuchler (Dana), Niki De Hoyos and Tony De Hoyos;  7 Grandchildren, Grace, Olivia, and Molly Bowers, Kynleigh and Kannon Taylor, Taylor and Erixon Kuchler.
Danny also leaves behind 2 brothers, Michael Kuchler (Kathy), Jody Kuchler (Thania) and sister Pamala Rab (Stephen), numerous nieces and nephews and extended family.
Danny was preceded in death by his parents and Debbie Hencerling Kuchler.
Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 4th at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery with full military honors.
