David Falcon, age 81, passed away June 20, 2024. He was married to his beloved wife, Renate, for 60 years. Together they had two daughters. He was an avid bowler and won the Corpus Christi City Championship in addition to having several perfect 300 bowling games. His other passion was bonsai trees, which he had been doing since 1992 until his health declined in September 2023.
He worked for Citgo for over 30 years. He enjoyed coaching his daughters in soccer, gymnastics and track and was very involved in Gregory-Portland Wildcat Athletics.
He was the best dad, Pepaw, and great Pepaw and will be dearly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Dana Jones; and brothers Donny and Danny Falcon.
He is survived by his wife Renate, daughters Darla (Scott) Sasin and Michelle (Michael) Cisneros. He also leaves behind his grandchildren Kelsey (Jonathan) Cantu, Colton Bucey, Kinzy (Timothy) Mikeska, and Dalton (Ashleigh) Sasin; great grandchildren Halen Cantu, Abigail Sasin, Cooper Mikeska, and Carson Sasin; and his beloved dog Brodi.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Monday, June 24, 2024 at Winsteads’ Funeral Home in Portland. A graveside service will be held Friday July 5, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery in Corpus Christi.
