David Lee Perez

David Lee Perez, aged 32, left his earthly life to be with our Lord on August 3, 2024. He was born on February 18, 1992, at Riverside hospital in Corpus Christi, TX to Deborah Dominguez and Mark Perez. He was a proud resident of Mathis, TX and was a 2010 graduate of Mathis High School. He worked as a National Service Supervisor with Baktek, demonstrating exceptional problem-solving skills and a love for personal growth. 

David was a man of God with incredible faith. He loved life and made sure every day was an adventure, from traveling the world and sharing his experiences and photos with his family and friends (and yes, even complete strangers) to taking his boat out for a drive, absorbing even the simple blessings of each day. David had the ability to make anyone smile with his infectious energy and beautiful spirit. 

He is survived by his parents Deborah Dominguez and Mark Perez, sisters Marissa (Cruz) Garza, Marisol Perez and Alejandra Perez, maternal grandparents Robert and Nieves Dominguez, Paternal grandmother Esmeralda (Raul) Rosas, and paternal grandfather Chris (Sonya) Perez, one niece Brielle Ray Garza, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and his beloved dog Narley. 

He is preceded in death and was greeted in heaven by his son Zayd, maternal great-grandparents Catarino (Pancho) and Angelita Barrera, paternal great-grandparents Robert and Ezperanza Hernandez and cousin, Nathaniel Seth Dominguez. 

Visitation will be on Friday, August 9, 2024 at 12:00pm - 4:00 pm at Winsteads' Funeral Home in Mathis; Visitation will resume at 6:00 pm with Holy recited Rosary at 7:00 pm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church . Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, followed by interment at Descanso Eterno II.
