Donna Lee Bressler

Donna Lee Bressler went home to be with the Lord on November 4, 2021.

Donna was born on January 7, 1940 in Mankato, Minnesota to H.E. (Jack) and Marjorie L. Wolcott.

She was a loving wife to Joseph James Bressler for 47 years. She loved to travel and find adventures. So much so, that she went skydiving at the age of 70. She will be greatly missed by her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Jack (Chuck) Wolcott. She is survived by her husband Joseph James Bressler of Portland, Tx.; Her daughter & son-in-law Melissa and Michael Karl, of Portland, Tx; Her grandchildren Christopher, Rebekah and David Karl of Portland, TX.

A letter from Donna

This comes as no surprise to you--my family and close friends. As you read this, I will have died and will be cremated. My faith in God and Jesus as my Savior, allows me to believe that my soul/ spirit is set FREE and making it’s journey back home to Him. What a glorious moment, what a time to rejoice! A new beginning, a new birth. I no longer live in the shell I once occupied.

How beautiful my life became the day Joe walked into my heart! We were lovers, partners and best friends. Our daughter made our life complete and even more fulfilling with our son-in-law and three grandchildren. God is good, merciful, forgiving. I’ve been blessed with loving parents, a brother I treasure beyond words, friends who kept my spirits lifted during tough times and made me feel good just to be in their company.

I don’t know when I will be saying “farewell” or even if I will have the opportunity. That is why I put this in writing and hope that while I lived I made it known how much I love and appreciate you. Everything else in this world is fleeting, but our relationships and friendships will continue
into eternity.

Well, I’ve had “the last word” -- that’s always so fun. Margaritas and champagne for everyone!! You knew I would say that.
