Earlene Adeline Angel

Earlene Angel went to be with her Lord on December 17, 2011. She was born on October 10, 1918. She graduated from Groom High School and attended Wayland Baptist University. Earlene spent time in Amarillo before moving to Portland with Mobil Oil Corp. She retired after 33 years as a secretary.
Earlene loved her extended family of friends. She strived to make a difference in their lives, and they certainly made a difference in hers. She put faith at the center of her life and when able, she served faithfully at First Baptist Church in Portland as a Sunday school teacher and librarian.
Earlene is preceded in death by her parents Aubrey and Mattie Angel and brother Forest. Earlene will be greatly missed by her cousins and numerous close friends.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, December 22, 2011 at the First Baptist Church in Portland, Texas. Interment to follow at Palms Memorial Gardens.
