Emilio Salinas, Sr. was called home on December 20,2020 in San Saba, Texas. He was born in Helena, Texas on July 28, 1931 to Severo and Mercedes (De la Garza) Salinas. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Sanjuana (Morales) Salinas, his children Roberto, Osvaldo and Sulema Salinas, his stepmom, Paula G. Salinas, brothers Severo,Trinidad, Guadalupe, and Ernesto Salinas.
He is survived by his children Emilio (Janet) Salinas Jr. From Mesquite, Texas, Rosa (Santos) Arredondo from San Saba, Texas, Liodolee (Arnulfo) Garcia from Harker Heights, Texas , Noelia (Troy) Buck from Corpus Christi, Texas and Max (Frances) Morales from Mathis Texas; Daughter in law, Arlyn Salinas from New Braunfels, Texas;16 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers Santos, Felipe, Arnulfo, David, Jesse Salinas and his sisters Virginia Reyna, Ofelia Cortez, Carrie Moreno, Amelia González, Margie Aguilar and Ninfa Domínguez and numerous nieces and nephews.
Emilio was a member of Primera Iglesia Bautista in Mathis where he served as Sunday school teacher, church treasurer and other positions. He worked in the community as a plumber and electrician first employed by McDonald's Electric company and later was self employed at his own company, Friendly Electric and Plumbing.

Visitation will be at 9 am and Funeral Service at 11 am on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Dobie Funeral Home followed by interment Descanso Eterno II.
