Emma Katherine George

Our dear sweet mother, Emma Katherine George, left this world to join God and her loving husband of 33 years, Loren "Shaky" George on December 9, 2011. She had just celebrated her 86th birthday on Monday, December 5th. Emma was the managing editor of the Portland News for many years. She was known to be charming and vivacious by all. Emma was the proud mother of four children Ronnie L. George, Karla K. George-Mills, Wesley R. George and Kelly G. George. She leaves behind 22 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. Emma's sharp wit and beautiful smile endeared her to all who knew her. She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her. Rest well mother.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at the Limbaugh Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 AM, Wednesday December 14, 2011 at the Limbaugh Funeral Home. Interment to follow at the Palms Memorial Gardens in Portland, Texas.
