On March 8,2024, Erasmo Alvarez Jr., was called home. He was born on July 31, 1978 in Taft Texas. A young man with a beautiful smile and known for his friendly disposition. A witty, humorous and generous soul. He loved his family and friends with all his heart. He wore many hats in his short life but the one hat he never removed was his generosity to others. He would give his last loaf of bread and his seat at the table to insure you didn't go hungry. His hardships taught him humility and the value of family. He loved his nieces with all that he had to give.
He graduated from Moody High School in Corpus Christi Texas and he also attended Texas A&M Kingsville majoring in Architecture.
He is survived by his mother, Elma Benavidez and his father, Erasmo Alvarez; paternal grandmother, Soccoro Alvarez. He had one sister, Mia Alvarez; Two nieces, Mya Ramirez and Jolie Ramirez. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Eugenio Benavidez and Emma C. Benavidez; paternal grandfather, Oscar Alvarez; uncles, Tony Alvarez, Eugene Benavidez Jr.; and his brother, Ryan Kring.
Visitation will be at 3 PM and Rosary will be at 6:30 PM on Monday, March 18, 2024 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Mathis.
