Esteban Ortiz

Esteban Ortiz, 86, entered the gates of Heaven on March 26, 2012 joining his parents Virginia and Cornelio; brothers Cruz, Carlos, Juan, and Miguel; his sisters Candelaria Ortiz, Irene Rodriguez and son-in-law Salvador (Arnold) Solis, Jr.. He was born August 3, 1924 in McAllen, Texas. He is survived by his wife of 67 years Candelaria (Lala) of Gregory, TX; one daughter Virginia O. (Arnold) Solis of Gregory, TX; four sons Esteban (Lydia) of Portland, TX, Amado (Veronica) of LaPorte, TX, Robert (Diana) of LaPorte, TX and Joe (Elda) of Gregory, TX; 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be truly missed by all the people who loved him dearly. He was a faithful member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Gregory, TX.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at the Limbaugh Funeral Home with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM that same evening. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at the Immaculate Conception Church in Gregory, TX. Interment to follow at the Gregory Cemetery.
