Eva Leal Gonzales

Eva Leal Gonzales, age 80, went to be with our Lord on September 3, 2021 in Corpus Christi, Texas.  She was born on September 24, 1940 in Mathis, Texas to Espiririon Leal and Cleotilde Espinoza.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Lupe G Gonzales; Four Brothers, Jesus Leal, Guadalupe Leal Sr., Daniel Leal, Antonio Leal; Sisters, Emma Garza, Leonor Leal, Maggie Leal, Oralia Benavidez, Carmel Leal; One Grandson, Randale Quintanilla.

She is survived by her children, Annette (Roger) Rivera), Eloy (Melissa) Gonzales, Nelda Gonzales (Wallace Ham); Step children, Becky (Lee) Pena, Ruben (Cathy) Gonzales; Sisters, Elia Leal, and Sylvia Ramirez; 12 Grandchildren, 19 Great Grandchildren; Three very close friends of over 30 years, she considered her own, Shannon Chapa, Maria Hernandez, Alex Soliz.

Pallbearers will be Michael Gonzales, Robert Gonzales, Rene Quintanilla Jr., Alex Hernandez Jr., Lupe Moya Jr., Timothy Rowden Jr.

Visitation for Mrs. Gonzales will be at 2:00 pm and Holy Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Dobie Funeral Home.  Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am on Friday, September 17, 2021 at St. John of the Cross in Orange Grove, Texas followed by interment at Pro Union Cemetery in Orange Grove, Texas.
