Eva Lerma Trejo

Eva Lerma Trejo, 73, formerly of Beeville, TX passed away on Sunday, January 9, 2022. Eva was born in Mathis, Tx on November 09, 1948 to Benito and Juanita Lerma. She graduated from Mathis High School, retired from TDCJ in 2011, and was a cancer survivor. On December 26, 2021 she demanded that all her children get together and spend the day with her. All 6 children, along with 13 grandchildren and 5 great- grandchildren showed up to make her happy.  She claimed it was the happiest day of her life. Although her heart was full of love, it was not strong, and the Lord took her home 13 days later so she would no longer have to suffer here on Earth.  

 

Eva is proceeded in death by her parents Benito and Juanita Lerma of Mathis, her brothers Benito Lerma Jr., Armando Lerma, Samuel Lerma, and her granddaughter Alexandra Victoria Perales.

 

Eva is survived by her children Elizabeth (Christopher) Robertson of Pearland, Velma Fernandez (Eduardo Montez) of Beeville, Jo Anne Trejo (Charles Britt) of Lake Jackson, Eva Marie (Johnny Joe) Garza of Beeville, Joe Luis Trejo (Troy Tijerina) of Aransas Pass, and Lilia Trejo of Beeville.

 

Eva’s Celebration of Life will be held on January 21, 2022 in a private ceremony. If love could have saved her, she would have lived forever.
