Federico Zambrano Pena

Federico Pena, GREGORY, TX, passed away on February 9th, 2017 at the age of 78.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Dora Pena.

Federico is survived by his children,  Odilia Reyes (Oscar), Elena Mendez (Reynaldo), Monica Hernandez (Ramon), Luis Pena (Rosanna), Angelita Ruiz, and Federico Pena, Jr. , his 22 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.  He is also survived by his four brothers and two sisters:  Fidencio Pena, Emilio Pena, Ramon Pena, Luis Pena, Eva Perez, and Conrada Maldonado.

He was a member of the U.S. National Guard; a Bingo announcer and Usher at Immaculate Conception Church in Gregory, Texas; member of St. Vincent de Paul Society; member of the Gregory Volunteer Fire Department; and a retiree of Cox Tank Construction in Taft, Texas.

Services will be held at Limbaugh Funeral Home in Portland, Texas.  A viewing is scheduled for Sunday, February 12, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. and a rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m.  A mass will be held on Monday, February 13, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church in  Gregory, Texas, with the burial to follow at Gregory Cemetary.

Pallbearers will be Fred Pena, III, Fidencio Pena, Robinson Ruiz, Odie Reyes, Randy Hernandez, and Joshua Reyes.  Alternate pallbearers are:  Joel Munoz and Levi Alaniz
