Guadalupe L. Sanchez

Guadalupe L. Sanchez, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on November 22, 2024, at the age of 83 in Orange Grove, Texas. She was born on November 30, 1940 to Alberto and Josepha Lopez, in Rodriguez, Nuevo Leon. Guadalupe was cherished for her kind and welcoming nature, always making those around her feel at ease. Her love for family was paramount, as she consistently put her loved ones first and created many lasting memories.

Guadalupe is survived by her loving daughter, Mary Sanchez; her sons, Elias (Sarah) Sanchez, Gilbert Sanchez, and Rudy (Lisa) Sanchez; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy. She is also survived by her siblings, including her sister, Marta Alicia Soto; brothers, Alberto (Rosemary) Lopez, Oracio (Sylvia) Lopez, and Oscar (Ophelia) Lopez, along with numerous nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Felix B. Sanchez Sr.; son, Felix Sanchez Jr. and sister, Maria Elena Garcia. The legacy of love and the warmth she shared with family and friends will always be remembered.

Visitation will be at  2:00 pm and Holy Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Sunday, December 1, 2024 at Winsteads' Funeral Home located at 121 N Duval St., Mathis, Texas.  Funeral Mass in her honor will be celebrated on Monday, December 2, 2024, at 10:00 AM at St. John of the Cross, 200 South Metz Street, Orange Grove, Texas. Burial will follow at Sandia Cemetery in Sandia, Texas.

Guadalupe L. Sanchez will be remembered for her enduring spirit, the love she shared, and the memories she created that will live on in the hearts of those she touched. May she rest in peace.
