Hannah Lalgee, 73, of Portland, passed away on June 7, 2024, at
home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 31, 1951, in San Fernando, Trinidad to the late Samdai and Dolan Lalmansingh.
 
Hannah is survived by her loving husband, Raymond Lalgee; her son,
Rennison Lalgee and his wife Kimberly; her grandchildren, Deven, and Indira; and her brothers, Lionel and Seth Lalmansingh. She was preceded in death by her sister, Doll Dipchand. Hannah also leaves behind her cherished nieces and nephews who remember her as a caring and supportive aunt. She took great joy in their achievements and loved spending time with them. They are scattered near and far in Texas, New York, Florida and Trinidad.
 
Hannah dedicated her life to her family and community. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, known for her warm heart and incredible generosity. Hannah and Raymond knew each other for over 60 years and were married for almost 55 years. She was a great cook and loved sharing her Trinidadian dishes with family and friends. Like her mother before her, her cooking prowess was always in demand during weddings and family events. In these last years, it brought her great joy and relief to finally pass down some of her cooking skills to her family including her recipe for tamales at Christmas time.

A memorial will be announced at a later date. The date and time will be posted once the family has made the arrangements. She was truly a source of love and light for so many. We will miss you dearest Hannah/Mom/Aji.
