Jeremiah Josiah De Leon-Smith went to be with our Heavenly Father on Monday June 3, 2024. He was born on August 17, 2010 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Julie Ann DeLeon and Robert Smith III.
He was a shining example of kindness and love with a bright smile that could light up any room. Jeremiah not only excelled in academics but also shined bright in various sports, showcasing his talent and dedication. He was a great teammate on the field and a caring friend off the field.
Jeremiah leaves behind a loving family and numerous friends to cherish his memory. Among the surviving family are his mother, Julie Ann DeLeon (Isaac Ramos), father, Robert (Danielle) Smith III; brothers, Xavier Eli Smith, Elijah Kash Smith, Isaiah Julian Ramos; paternal grandfather, Darrell Leon (Julie Ann) Smith; paternal grandmother, Valerie Ann (Douglas) Davenport; maternal grandmother, Deborah DeLeon (Randy) Thomas, Rudy (Maggie) Calleres; paternal great Grandmother, Paula Cowan; step-maternal Grandparents Gary and Constance Davis .
He is also survived by his aunts, Veronica Dedow, Jessica Godwin, Sharde' Jackson, Jennifer (Maurice) Hudson, Lisa (Noe) Ayala; uncles, Markus (Jennifer) Smith, Jordan Smith, Justin Johnson, Tray Jackson and numerous cousins.
Jeremiah is preceded in death by his Maternal Great Grandmother, Perfecta DeLeon.To honor Jeremiah's life and the joy he brought to all who knew him, visitation services will be at 1:00 pm and prayer service will be at 6:00 pm on June 6, 2024 at Old HWY 9 Event Center in Mathis, Texas. A funeral service will be at 10:00 am on Friday, June 7, 2024 at the same location followed by interment at Cenizo Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Rojelio Montemayor, Brody Bernal, Jaden Barrera, Abram Cuellar, Tripp Cortez, Jordan Veliz, Efren Carranza, Dylan Mendoza, Daniel Martinez, Silas Gonzales, Clyde Veliz, Khloe Ganceres.Though we grieve the loss of Jeremiah, we find solace in the treasured memories we shared with him. His legacy of love and light will continue to live on within each individual whose life he touched profoundly.
Rest in peace, dear Jeremiah. You will forever remain in our hearts.
