Jesse L. Cristan

Jesse Longoria Cristan, 72, passed away on May 12, 2023, in Portland, TX.  He was born in Mirando City, TX on August 25, 1950, to Jesus Cristan and Lidia Cristan.  Jesse was raised in Corpus Christi, TX and graduated from W. B. Ray High School in 1969. He received his Associates Degree in Welding in 1978 from Del Mar College.

Jesse was a welder by trade and worked with Nueces County for many years. He was a boxer in his younger years, enjoyed watching wrestling and being in the company of family and friends. He also was a devout Catholic.

He was preceded in death by his father Jesus Cristan and his sister Linda De La Rosa. 

He is survived by his daughter Laura (Mario) Cristan Garcia, granddaughter Olivia Renée Garcia, his mother Lidia Cristan, his sister Elizabeth Cristan and two nephews Roy De La Rosa and Rene (Krystal) De La Rosa.

Services will be held Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Portland, TX. Visitation will begin at 9:30 am with the Rosary to begin at 10:30 am and the Funeral at 11:00 am. The burial will be held at 2:00 pm at Memory Gardens in Corpus Christi, TX.
