JoAnn Garza-Zambrano

On January 19, 2012 our beloved JoAnn Garza- Zambrano was called to eternal rest by our Lord.
She was born in Mathis, Texas on October 19, 1962 to Joe B. Garza of Sinton, Texas and Aurora T. Garza of Portland, Texas.
JoAnn was one of the most compassionate and caring person. She had a big heart and a giving and generous nature.
JoAnn loved thrift and bargain hunting, always finding that special little treasure for someone she knew. She also enjoyed arts and crafts, sewing and caring for and tending to her many potted plants. She loved spending time with her family and friends and was ready to make you laugh with her quick wit.
Some of her happiest days were spent singing along with the radio, while driving throughout the United States with her husband Joe. She will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched.
She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Francisco L. Trevino Sr. and Leonor Trevino and by her older sister Debbie Garza Agueros.
She is survived by her husband of 14 years Jose Luis Zambrano; her daughter Krystal Faith Lacy Jackson; as well as four grandchildren; also three siblings Randy T. (Sylvia) Garza of Odem, Texas, Edward J. Garza of Sinton, and Gina Smith of Portland, Texas.
A rosary will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, January 26, 2012 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Portland with a memorial mass immediately following.
