Jose Angel Acuña

Jose Angel Acuña passed away on February 16, 2025, in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was born in Cloete, Coahuila, Mexico on March 19, 1967 to Jose angel Acuñ and Prudencia Rosales. Jose was a kind and welcoming individual, known for his warm spirit and ability to make others feel at ease. His love for his family was evident, as he cherished every moment spent with them, creating lasting memories that will be held dear.

Jose is survived by his beloved wife, Betty H. Acuña; mother, Prudencia Rosales; his daughter, Maria D. Santana; stepdaughter, Bianca Sherrod; son, Joseph Angel Acuña; stepson, Matthew Villarreal. He also leaves behind his sisters, Guadalupe, Blanca, and Aida Acuña; and his brothers, Juan Carlos and Gabriel Acuña. Additionally, he is survived by ten grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews, each of whom carries a piece of his legacy in their hearts.

Jose was preceded in death by his father, Jose Angel Acuña, and his brother, Luis Alonso Acuña. Their memories will continue to live on through the stories shared by his surviving family and friends.

Visitation for Jose will be held on February 21, 2025 at 2:00 pm followed by a Prayer Service at 7:00 pm at Winsteads' Funeral Home, located at 121 N Duval St., Mathis, Texas.

Jose Angel Acuña will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his spirit will continue to shine brightly in the lives of those he loved.
