Joseph Alan Herrington Jr.

Mr. Joseph Herrington Jr. of Portland, TX passed away unexpectedly in New Orleans, LA on April 26, 2016 at the age of 24.

Joseph is survived by his parents Sylvia and Joseph Sr, Sister Crystal and nephew Andrew of Portland, TX, Brother Joshua and wife Dominique of Arlington, TX; his Grandmother Jesusa Garcia of Taft, TX. His beloved fiancé Kristy Rodriguez, her parents David and Christine and brother Christopher and sister Amanda of San Antonio, TX. Joseph is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Joseph is preceded in death by his Grandparents Barbara and Joe Herrington, of Zavalla, TX, Grandfather Alberto Garcia of Taft, TX.

Joseph was born on June 14, 1991 in Corpus Christi, TX and graduated from Gregory Portland High School in 2009. Joseph began working for AmSpec Services as a Lab Technician and promoted to Lab Supervisor. Joseph was loved by all his family and friends and would do anything he could to help people. Joseph loved sports, casinos, shopping, cooking but most importantly his faith in God was above all. Joseph was a very loving person and will be deeply missed. 

Visitation is scheduled for Friday April 29, 2016 from 3:00pm to 9:00pm with a remembrance service at 7:00pm at Limbaugh Funeral Home in Portland, TX.

A funeral is scheduled for 10:00am on Saturday April 30, 2016 at First Baptist Church in Portland, TX, Pastor Ron Earley will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Joseph’s life.
