Kimberly Ann Eggert

Kimberly Ann Eggert passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on December 3, 2022, at Northwest Regional in Corpus Christi, Texas with family by her side.  Kimberly was born to William and Florence Grigsby on October 27, 1956, in Los Angeles, California. Her parents predeceased her. She is survived by her loving husband, Mark Eggert of Mathis, Texas and her sons, Boyce Eggert of Austin, Texas, and Benjamin Eggert of Beeville, Texas, as well as daughter-in-law Lindsey Eggert, and much-loved grandchildren Bentley, Madeline, William, Klhoe, and Carter Eggert, and her sister-in-law Carol Dinkins of Houston, Texas, and brother-in-law Richard Eggert of Mathis, Texas.

Kim attended grade school and most of high school in Mathis, Texas, where she was honored to serve as a junior high school cheerleader and she herself excelled in sports.  She graduated high school in Paige, Arizona.  She returned to South Texas and attended Bee County College, then earned a degree in Education from Texas A & M University Corpus Christi where she received her teacher’s certificate.

While thereafter employed with the San Patricio Community Action Agency, Kim taught Head Start children in Mathis and other centers in the county.  Afterwards, Kim was happy to be a homemaker and help-mate to her husband.

Kimberly was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and the Progressive Women’s League.  She participated in various other local civic activities.

Kimberly’s family and close friends knew her to be loving, caring, and generous.  She habitually sought and found the goodness in people while overlooking their faults.  She loved her family and adored and doted on her many dogs.  While she will be sorely missed, her family and friends are comforted by the certainty that Kim awaits them in heaven.

For those desiring, please consider a gift to the Sandra Sue Benson Animal Adoption Center in memory of Kimberly. 4630 FM 169, Aransas Pass, Texas 78336
