Laura Jane Brock

Laura Jane Brock, beloved mother, sister, and friend, passed away on July 13, 2024 in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was born on  October 14, 1951, in Mathis, Texas to her loving parents William Fritz Stech and Rosalie Pfeiler. Laura's life was characterized by kindness and gentleness that touched the hearts of all who knew her.

Laura dedicated many years of her life working for Orange Grove ISD. Her warm smile and caring nature made the school cafeteria a welcoming place for students and staff alike. Her commitment to her work and the relationships built with those around her will always be remembered.

She is survived by her son Lon Brock, who meant the world to her. Laura's sister Brenda Carlyon will greatly miss her presence, along with her nieces and nephews who admired their aunt's loving spirit.

Laura Jane Brock was preceded in death by her parents William Fritz Stech and Rosalie Pfeiler, as well as her sisters Barbara Stech and Loretta Katzenmeyer. Their memories will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved Laura.

In honoring Laura's life, let us remember the compassion she showed to others and the joy she brought into the world. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten. May she rest in peace knowing that she was cherished by many.

The Family would like to acknowledge and thank the ICU doctors, nurses, and staff at Christus Spohn Hospital-Shoreline and New Century Hospice for their compassionate care of Laura during the last two weeks of her life. 

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to be made in her memory to a charity of your choice.
