Loella Blanas

Loella Blanas, a kind and welcoming presence in the lives of those who had the privilege of knowing her, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2025, in Corpus Christi, Texas, at the age of 94. She was born on January 1, 1931, in Canadian, Texas to Ray Hostutler and Lois Edna Collins.  Loella's spirit and warmth were felt by all who crossed her path.

Loella had an innate ability to make others feel at ease, and her infectious sense of humor brought joy to countless gatherings. She was not only a loving mother but also a guiding light to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, with whom she shared countless cherished moments and laughter.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Chris Blanas, her parents Ray Hostutler and Lois Edna Collins, her brother Ray Hostutler, and her daughter Yvonne Claunch. Each of these relationships shaped her life and were a testament to the love she held dear.

Loella is survived by her daughter, Darlene Mills, along with her three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, who will carry forward her legacy of kindness and love. Her gentle spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her. The memories of Loella's warm smile and hearty laughter will remain in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
