Luis Alberto Rangel

Luis A. Rangel “Chacho”, 62, passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2015 with his family by his side. Luis was born in Brownsville, Texas. He is going to be missed dearly by all whom loved him. Luis worked for Gulf Marine Fabrications and Kiewit Offshore for 23 + years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, auto mechanic, pool and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents Alejandro and Maria Luisa Rangel; brother Alejandro Rangel Jr.; and sister Dora Muniz. Luis is survived by his wife of 25 years, Mary Alice Rangel; his children Leslie Galvan (Aaron), Amanda Richardson (Seth), Lino Cruz Jr. (Norma), Brenda Reyna (Cleofas), Michelle Hall, Jon Cruz (Brooke), Monica Cruz (Frank), Jessica Cruz (Scottie); 21 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sisters Connie Sanchez (Joe), Oralia Velasquez (Alex), Mary Trevino (Joe), brother Juan Carlos Rangel (Rosie) and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 17, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m., with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening at Limbaugh Funeral Home in Portland, Texas.  A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Gregory.
