Mariano S. Lara entered Eternal Rest on Monday, August 15, 2022. He was born in Mathis, Texas on April 9, 1948 to Tranquelino and Genoveva S. Lara. Preceded in death by his Parents; Son Joe Rodriguez; and Sisters Teresa and Consuelo Lara.
Left to cherish Mr. Lara's everlasting memory are: 6 Daughters, Sylvia Chapa, Nancy Lara, Leona Marche Lara, Mariana Luna, Priscilla Lara Garcia, Dolores Villarreal; 4 Sons, Steve Lara, Mariano Lara Jr., Mariano Salazar, Michael Lara; Special Grandchildren who knew him as Thatha, Bethany Lara, and Koryn Lara; Numerous Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren; Sisters, Esperanza Cuevas, Rosalinda Lara, Janie Lara; Brothers, Deacon Antonio Lara, Tranquelino Lara Jr., Jessie Lara, Augustine Lara, Luis Lara, Joe Lara, Juan Lara, Geraldo Lara; and numerous Nieces and Nephews.
Visitation will start at 2pm-430pm on Sunday, August 21, 2022 at Dobie Funeral Home. Rosary will be at 7 pm on Sunday, August 21, 2022 at Sacred Heart Church. Funeral Mass will be Monday, August 22, 2022 at Sacred Heart Church followed by interment to Descanso Eterno II.
