Marissa A. Mendoza

Marissa A. Mendoza passed from this life Saturday March 2, 2024 at the age of 27. She was born February 11, 1997 in Corpus Christi, Texas. 

Marissa was a fun loving person. She especially loved her son Angel. He was her world. She brightened up a room with her gorgeous smile and personality. If you knew her she was a very outspoken person and didn't sugarcoat anything. She loved going to concerts. She lived life in the fast lane. She especially loved hanging out with her guy friends, such as Ruben and Sylvester Solis, Bubba, Ryan Hernandez, and Carlos Garcia. She had a very special bond with Nick Solis. Most importantly she loved spending time with family. She definitely loved picking on her little cousins.
  

She was preceded in death by her father Frank Mendoza and Jorge Silvas. She is survived by her mother Elsa Zarate, step dad Bryan Zarate, son Angel Maldonado, and brothers Anthony Zarate and Kobe Zarate. She is also survived by great-grandparents Benita Chapa and San Juanita Ramos; grandparents Ernest Chapa, Sr., Belia Ramos, Dario Bustamonte and numerous aunts and cousins. 

She will definitely be missed by all. Just remember the pranks will probably be worse. 

Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, March 8, 2024 at Winsteads' Funeral Home in Portland with Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, March 9, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Gregory. Interment will follow at Gregory Cemetery. 

Pallbearers will be Nick Solis, Ruben Solis, Ryan Hernandez, Aaron Ramos, Robert Espinoza and Andre Maldonado.
