Martha M. Matula

Martha M. Matula passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2014 at the age of 94 in Missouri City, Tx.   She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and a devoted Catholic.  She was a housewife on a farm in the Sinton/Odem area from 1946 to 1989 and then retired to Corpus Christi.  She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Bessie Juranek, and her husband of 68 years, Charlie F. Matula.  She is survived by her children, Jerry Matula of Portland and Charlene Randall of Missouri City, Tx.  She was blessed with four grandchildren, Suzanne Sager of Nashville, Tn., Brison Matula of Austin, Tx., Karen Ochoa of Pearland, Tx., and Rebecca Feit of Missouri City, Tx., their spouses and 9 great grandchildren.

 The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Quality Living Personal Care Home in Missouri City, Tx. who lovingly cared for her for the past 5 years.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, April 4, 2014 at the Limbaugh Funeral Home in Portland, Tx.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at 9:30 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Portland, Tx.  Burial will follow at Seaside Memorial Park in Corpus Christi.
