Olga G. Morales

Olga G. Morales, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on May 23, 1947, in Mathis, Texas, she was a cherished member of her community devoted to her family and loved ones.

Olga was married to her loving husband, Robert Morales, Sr., for 58 wonderful years. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and countless memories. Olga was the proud mother of Celia Morales, Rosemary Morales (Guadalupe Rodriguez), Robert Morales, Jr. (Debbie Ruiz), Gilberto (Mary Ann) Morales, Alfredo Morales, and Ricardo (Maria) Morales. She found immense joy in her role as a grandmother to her 18 grandchildren and delighted in being a great-grandmother to 15 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her immediate family, Olga is survived by her loving siblings, Joe Gonzalez, Roberto Gonzalez, Jeanie Gonzalez, and Esmeralda Cantu. She was predeceased by her parents, Santos and Anita Gonzalez, as well as her sister, Ofelia Salinas, and brothers Adam Gonzalez and Santos Gonzales.

Olga had a zest for life that was evident in her many hobbies and interests. She loved music and dancing, which brought her joy during family gatherings. Her love for swimming and working with plants reflected her vibrant spirit and connection to nature. These passions not only enriched her own life but also brought happiness to those around her.

Pallbearers are as follows: Ricardo Morales, Roberto Morales Jr, Gilberto Morales, Alfredo Morales, Jaime Mesa, and Ruby Mesa.

A visitation will be held in her honor on Sunday, March 23, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Winsteads' Funeral Home, located at 121 N Duval St., Mathis, TX 78368. A Rosary will follow at 7:00 PM that same day. A Funeral Mass celebrating her life will take place on Monday, March 24, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, situated at 217 W San Patricio Ave, Mathis, TX 78368. Interment will follow at Cenizo Hill Cemetery. 

Olga G. Morales will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. Her legacy of love and joy will continue to inspire those whose lives she touched.
