Pedro Amador

Pedro Amador, a beloved figure in the Mathis community, passed away on March 11, 2025, at the age of 68. Born on October 7, 1956, in Mathis, he dedicated his life to his family and spread warmth wherever he went.

Pedro was a kindhearted soul, known for his gentle demeanor and deep love for his family. He cherished every moment spent with his wife of 50 years, Sarita Amador, and together they nurtured a loving home for their children: Sonia (Rudy) Alegria, Serina Lynn Lopez, Pedro Amador, Jr., Pablo (Angelia) Amador and Philp Amador. As a father, he reveled in the joy of his children, teaching them not just through words but through the examples of love and kindness he displayed daily.

Pedro's legacy extends to his grandchildren, whom he adored, and he was especially proud of the 15 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren who brought so much light into his life. His family was the center of his universe, and he took great joy in every gathering, where laughter and love filled the air.

In addition to his close family, Pedro is survived by his beloved siblings: Irene Vasquez Amador, Anna Amador, and Lupe Moya. He will be remembered not only for his kindness and generosity but also for the strong family bonds he nurtured throughout his life.

Pedro joins his parents, Vicente and Andrea Amador, and his son, Patricio Amador, in eternal rest.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Pedro’s life and legacy. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Winsteads' Funeral Home in Mathis, TX, followed by a Rosary at 7:00 PM. A Funeral Mass honoring Pedro’s memory will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Mathis, TX.
