Phyllis “Kiki” Annette Prinz Toler
12/15/47 – 2/9/25
Phyllis was born in Robstown, TX on December 15, 1947, to Robert and Evelyn Prinz.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Evelyn Prinz, her sister Lucille “Lucy” Prinz McMurray, her brother Robert Prinz, nephew Keith Prinz, first husband Jack Horton and stepson David Horton.
Phyllis married the love of her life, Charlie Toler June 24, 2006. Together they created a life of traveling which included 8 trips to Ireland and 6 trips to Germany, Mexico and The Holy Land. Phyllis was a devout Catholic and she served her God by giving to the less fortunate and hosted numerous charity events for the Lagarto community such as Lagarto Volunteer Fire Department, Halo Flight Life Helicopter, The Ronald McDonald House, Masonic Lodge, and Al A Min Shrine of Corpus Christi plus numerous fund raisers for citizens of Lagarto such as funeral expenses and or health expenses. She also loved supporting Feed Los Cabo’s Kids Group where she was a member. She was also a member of the Saint Francis Catholic Church where she over saw the Alter Society annual fundraiser.
She is survived by her husband of 18 years, Charlie Toler, sister Kathy Favor, sister-in-law Gloria Prinz. Many nieces and nephews Susan Wilson, Sharon Luker (David), John Prinz (Julie), Sharlene Tate (Danny), Mark McMurray (Yvonne), Michelle Jackson (Toby), Lynette Colvin, Jeanette Tigrett (Randy), Gordon McMurray, Kevin Heider (Belinda), Kenton Heider, Kyle Heider (Paula), step children-Sherry Toler Rodriguez (Candy ), Sylvia Palacios (Raul) and , George Garza and Cindy Horton and numerous great nieces and nephews and step grandchildren.
A special thanks to Tribute Hospice especially Sharlene Tate, Kristin Gallegos, and Sally Gonzalez for their love and care of Phyllis “Kiki” during her short illness. Also, a special thanks to Father Donohoe and Charlene Vannoy. In lieu of flowers please make contributions to The Phyllis Toler Seminarian Fund.
The viewing is on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, 4pm to 5pm for the family at Winstead-Mathis funeral home followed by an invitation to the public from 5pm to 8pm with a rosary at 6:30pm.
The service is on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at 10am at the St. John of the Cross Catholic Church in Orange Grove followed by graveside services at 1pm Seaside Memorial.
Her celebration of life will continue at the Annaville VFW HALL with lunch and fellowship following the graveside service.
For those traveling there are lodging accommodations at a discounted rate at the La Quinta in Mathis, Texas.
